Your engagement rate is the fastest way to see how alive your audience really is — not just how big it is. A creator with 8,000 engaged followers can be worth far more to a brand than one with 80,000 quiet ones. This calculator uses the standard formula: total interactions divided by followers, times 100.

Track it over time and watch what your best clips do to it. When you’re ready to turn that engagement into income, that’s where Dashrize comes in — you get paid per verified view on every clip, no follower count required.

Frequently asked questions

How is engagement rate calculated?

The common formula is (likes + comments + saves + shares) ÷ followers × 100. This calculator uses that, so adding your saves and shares gives a more accurate number — especially for Reels, where saves and shares drive reach.

What is a good engagement rate?

As a rough guide: under 1% is Low, 1–3.5% is Average, 3.5–6% is Good, and above 6% is Excellent. Smaller accounts tend to score higher because a tight, active audience engages more per follower.

Should I use followers or reach?

This tool uses followers, which is the standard way brands compare accounts. If you want engagement on reach instead, put your average reach in the followers field — the same maths applies.

Does a high engagement rate mean I'll earn more?

It helps you look great to brands, but it doesn't pay you directly. Views are what get rewarded. On Dashrize you get paid per verified view on every clip, so a video that pops can out-earn a high ER any day.
